I am a super special guy looking for a very specific home. I originally came to TABR as a breeder surrender. I’m a very happy going guy and I do well with other pups. I like to follow the others all around. I was actually adopted several months ago to an awesome family. However I started acting out and they knew something was wrong. I was very anxious and not doing well. I came back to rescue for an evaluation and after another vet visit, we found the answer….I’m deaf! Everyone was shocked. I have learned to hide it so well, even the vet staff was not sure until they took me to take a special hearing test and it was all confirmed. I started learning ASL immediately and my foster mom is making huge progress now that we found the root issue. Learning that I was deaf changed how everyone approached me, how I was trained to do things, in all sorts of good ways. I’m really a great boy, but I will need a home with some experience with special needs or ASL. I will need a home with teenage kids or older. I’d love other dogs in the home so I can take my cues from them. I’m hoping to find that one in a million adopter that is just what I need!
